BILLY "O"'S JOURNAL
Discover® Card Windy City Classic–
Vernon Hills, IL – November 22, 2006
Monday: Woke up at about 9:00am. This week
is my week. A very good episode of Jerry Springer was on (can’t miss
that). 12pm bowled 12 games. 3pm went to visit my daughter, the apple
of my eye. Three hours later it was still raining so I called it a
night.
Tuesday: Work day. Spent all morning
cleaning up my apartment, and by 12 pm I finally got the table cleaned
off. After that I headed out to Vernon Hills for the practice before
the practice session. Worked on my spares, worked on my timing, threw
the ball great and I had a great reaction, everything was going good.
So to cap the night off, me and some homies hit the strip club, ladies
night (OH BABY!). Talk to you tomorrow.
Wednesday: Woke up at 9:00am, to close the
curtains and went back to sleep, not feeling good, Practice is not
until 4pm,great, I need to sleep for another 2 days . 6pm, just
finished practice, got a great look, timing is good; I’m ready to win
this tournament, feeling confident. 7pm, Pro-Am, and I get to bowl
with the pros (the bears) sweet. Talking about down to earth, I can’t
remember having so much bowling a pro-am. I want to send a shout out
to Fred Miller, Kyle Orton, and Tommie Harris. Good luck this year.
Thursday: Showtime, its time to show these
people who I am. Game plan; don’t look at the scoreboard at all. Just
bowl the best I can. When the smoke cleared I went 378 over, YES, not
looking at the score worked great. Now let’s see how I did. WHAT? 50th
Place, you are kidding me, talking about an
emotional let down.
Friday: Boring day. 11am went to the
barber to get my head shaved. 1pm took my daughter to lunch and
shopping. 6pm coached my junior bowlers. 10pm chores at my mom’s
house. (Like I said, boring day).
Saturday: 10am, worked with the juniors at
Castaways lanes. (Shout out to Brian Gunn; keep up the good work with
your junior program. The kids need) 12pm visited the juniors at Dolton
Bowl to answer questions, and give them gifts. It is so much fun
working with the kids. I know I have a blessed life, so I feel
obligated to give back when I can. 2pm, I got a call from my good
friend David Bassidy to watch the OU-OSU game at a killer sports bar,
I couldn’t pass that up. The rest of the day I visited my friends
across the city. I hope I Have not bored you with the some of the
things I did or went through. This is a dream come true, for real. God
is good all the time. If you have dreams of being out on the PBA, stay
focused, believe in yourself, and who knows you might be writing a
journal for the PBA.
